The first chapter of the report presents a brief overview of the world iodine market in 2005-2016. The section contains data on iodine reserves in the world, the dynamics of iodine production, the main producers of products, export-import of products, prices and world consumption of iodine.
The second chapter provides information on iodine reserves in the CIS countries (Russia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Belarus).
The third chapter provides information on existing technologies for the production of iodine and their characteristics.
The fourth chapter is devoted to the analysis of the production of iodine in the CIS in 1992-2017. In this chapter, the requirements of the existing normative and technical documentation for the quality of iodine of various grades are given, the data on the volumes of production are given, the dynamics of the output of these products are traced, the main producers of iodine and their current status are described.
The fifth chapter is devoted to projects on the development of iodine production in the CIS.
In the sixth chapter, data on foreign trade operations with iodine in Russia and the CIS are analyzed. The data on the volumes of export and import of the studied products are given, the regional structure of supplies is estimated, the data on the volumes of iodine supplied by exporters and importers are given.
