This report is the 1st edition of the rare gas market research in Russia and Ukraine.

The purpose of the research is the analysis of the rare gas market.

The objects of investigation are rare gases (neon, krypton, xenon, gas mixtures).

This paper is a desk study. As sources of information, data from the Federal Service of State Statistics of the Russian Federation (Rosstat), the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (FCS of the Russian Federation), customs statistics and statistics of rail transportation of the Russian Federation, data from the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, UNdata and Eurostat.

The data of the sectoral and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, Internet sites of manufacturing enterprises and consumers of rare gases were also attracted; the InfoMine database was used; materials of profile conferences.

The main chronological scope of the study: 2008-2017.

Geography of the study: Russia, Ukraine.

Scope of the research: the report consists of 8 parts, contains 80 pages, including 40 tables, 34 figures, 1 appendix.

The first chapter (introduction) gives a brief description of the market of industrial gases in Russia and the role of rare gases.

In the second chapter the requirements to the quality of various rare gases (GOSTs, TU) are considered, and its main technical characteristics are given.

The third chapter is devoted to the review of the equipment used for the production of rare gases, and the technical characteristics of the plants used.

The fourth chapter is devoted to the production of rare gases - their mixtures and separated products. The structure of production in Russia and Ukraine is presented. Also, the main companies producing rare gases in Russia and Ukraine, their nomenclature of output, estimated volumes of production, financial indicators are considered.

The fifth chapter of the survey contains data on exports and imports of rare gases in Russia in 2008-2017 and in Ukraine in 2013-2017. The dynamics of supply volumes, geographical structure, export-import structure by product type and suppliers / consumers are presented.

The sixth chapter is devoted to the review of domestic and export-import prices for various types of rare gases.

The seventh chapter gives a description of the use of rare gases in Russia, shows the main areas of use, provides estimates of the use of certain types of rare gases and their consumers.

The eighth chapter gives an analysis of the state and prospects of the rare gas market in Russia.

The appendix contains addresses and contact information of the main participants of the rare gas market in Russia and Ukraine.

The target audience of the study:

- participants in the market of industrial gases - producers, consumers, traders;

- potential investors.

The proposed research claims to be a reference tool for marketing services and specialists who make managerial decisions on the Russian market of industrial gases.
