This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.

This report is the sixth edition of the market research for synthetic silicon dioxide (precipitated - silica white and pyrogenic - aerosil) in the CIS countries.

Market monitoring has been conducted since 1999.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the market of synthetic silicon dioxide - Russian and CIS countries.

A distinctive feature of this report is that it provides a detailed analysis of the market for soot and aerosil, which avoids the mistakes made by the authors of similar studies conducted by other companies.

According to the existing nomenclature of the FCS of the Russian Federation, pyrogenic and precipitated silicon dioxide are present at position 281122, which is collectively called “Silicon dioxide”, which also contains other products from this category (silica gel, microsilica, etc.).

The report presents reliable data on products that are the subject of this study, obtained by manual sampling for the entire stock position 281122.

The object of study is synthetic silicon dioxide (precipitated and pyrogenic)

This work is a desk study. As sources of information, we used data from the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat), the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (FCS of the Russian Federation), railway transport statistics of the Russian Federation, and the State Customs Service of Ukraine; UNdata databases and the Infomine database. The materials of the industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities, conference materials, as well as websites of silicon dioxide producers were attracted.

Chronological scope of the study: 1999-2018; estimate - 2019; forecast - 2020-2025.

Research geography: Russian Federation, Ukraine, Belarus - a comprehensive, detailed market analysis.

The report consists of 7 parts, contains 112 pages, including 18 figures, 45 tables and 2 appendices.

The first chapter of the report provides information on the technologies for the production of precipitated and pyrogenic silicon dioxide and the raw materials required for production.

The second chapter of the review is devoted to the analysis of the production of synthetic silicon dioxide in the CIS. This chapter describes the requirements of the existing regulatory and technical documentation for the quality of silicon dioxide, statistics on the production of these products in 1999-2019.

The third chapter is devoted to the analysis of foreign trade operations with silicon dioxide in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. Data on volumes of exports and imports of the studied products are presented, and the regional structure of supplies is estimated.

The fourth chapter presents information on current prices of silicon dioxide producers in the CIS, as well as data on changes in export-import prices for products in Russia and Ukraine.

The fifth chapter of the report presents the balances of production and consumption of silicon dioxide in Russia, assesses the sectoral structure of consumption of the studied products, analyzes the factors that determine the demand for silicon dioxide in the domestic market, describes the main sectors of consumption and consumer enterprises.

The sixth chapter of the report discusses the consumption of synthetic silicon dioxide in Ukraine and Belarus. This section shows the balance of production and consumption of these products.

The seventh chapter of the report provides a forecast for the development of the Russian market of synthetic silicon dioxide for the period until 2025.

The appendices provide address and contact information for the main enterprises producing and consuming synthetic silicon dioxide in the CIS countries.

The target audience of the study:

- market participants for synthetic silicon dioxide and products based on it (tires, toothpastes, etc.) - manufacturers, consumers, traders;

- potential investors.

The proposed study claims to be a reference tool for marketing services and management decision-makers working in the market of silicon dioxide.
