The report is devoted to research of Russian market of solar cells and surface application assembly units. The report includes Introduction, 5 Sections and Conclusion, contains 66 pages, including 9 Tables, 16 Figures and 2 Appendices. The report is a desk research. As information sources, we used data of Federal Service of State Statistics of Russia (Rosstat), Federal Customs Service of Russia, Ukrainian Customs Service and f State Commettee on Statistics, scientific-technical literature, sectoral, regional and international press, as well as web-sites of enterprise-producers of solar cells.

The first Section of the report describes the main principles of operation of solar cells, presents the main their types. The Section describes, in addition, the main fields of application of solar cells, analyses their disadvantages and advantages.

The second Section of the report describes production of semiconductor silicon for solar batteries. The Section presents description of current standing of producers of semiconductor silicon of «solar» grade, as well as brief description of technologies of «solar» silicon production.

The third Section of the report describes world production of solar batteries, presents volumes of production of the products for the latest 10 years, as well as the greatest producers of solar cells in the world and countries with the highest level of solar energy development. The second part of the Section describes production of solar batteries in Russia and CIS, the main company-producers of solar cells, presents range of their products, analyses dynamics of volumes of solar batteries production for the latest 5 years.

The fourth Section of the report is devoted to foreign trade operations in solar cells and assembly units in Russia and Ukraine. The Section analysis dynamics of Russian and Ukrainian export-import supplies of the products for the latest 5 years in money terms and in total capacities, describes in details directions of supplies, presents data on pattern of foreign trade operations in solar cells and assembly units in Russia and Ukraine.

The fifth Section is devoted to analysis of tendencies of development and prospects of world and Russian market of solar energy up to 2015. The Section presents forecasts of leading experts in field of alternative energy onn development of the industry.

Appendices present contact data of the greatest producers of solar cells in Russia and Ukraine, as well as list of sources used.
