This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.

This report is the fourth edition of the study of the ground natural calcium carbonate (GCC) market in Russia, the CIS and the world.

Market monitoring has been conducted since 2012.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the current state and predictive assessment of the development of the finely dispersed calcium carbonate GCC market in Russia and the world.

The object of study is finely dispersed (highly dispersed, finely ground) natural (natural) calcium carbonate (GCC) or carbonate fillers.

This work is a desk study. As sources of information, the databases of Rosstat, the United Nations (UNdate), customs statistics of the Russian Federation, official statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation were used; statistical committees of the CIS countries, materials of industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities, websites of manufacturing enterprises and consumers of the products in question, as well as the Infomine database.

Chronological scope of the study: 2012-2022; forecast - until 2030

Research geography: Russian Federation - comprehensive detailed market analysis; CIS countries and the world - a brief description of the markets.

A distinctive feature of this study is a detailed description of the raw material base of the Russian Federation and the CIS countries, the market of natural carbonate fillers, broken down by type (natural chalk, microcalcite (micromarble).

The review consists of 8 parts, contains 107 pages, including 44 tables, 17 figures and an appendix.

The first chapter of the review provides a brief description of the world market of fillers (including carbonate - GCC and PCC). The volumes and structure of production / consumption of these products are estimated, the largest manufacturing companies are given.

The second chapter is devoted to the study of the raw material base for the production of carbonate fillers in Russia and the CIS countries. The section presents data on the balance reserves of chalk, the regional structure of the distribution of reserves, as well as the characteristics of the raw materials of the largest chalk deposits.

The third chapter discusses the currently used technological schemes for the production of finely ground calcium carbonate.

The fourth chapter presents qualitative characteristics (including comparative ones) of various types of carbonate fillers, identifies quality indicators determined when using the studied products in various industries.

The chapter also analyzes statistical data on the production volumes of natural carbonate fillers (by types and enterprises) in 2012-2022, describes the current state of manufacturing enterprises, including data on the time of existence of the enterprise, sources of raw materials, production technologies used, characteristics of products and sales markets. In addition, information is given on existing projects for organizing new production facilities for the products in question.

The fifth chapter of the review is devoted to the analysis of foreign trade operations of Russia and the CIS countries with various types of finely dispersed natural calcium carbonate (by type) in 2012-2022. The volumes of supplies of these products by countries and leading suppliers are given, the main trends for the period under review are noted.

In the sixth chapter, a price analysis was carried out for natural finely dispersed calcium carbonate. This section presents data on the average prices of Russian chalk producers, current selling prices of enterprises for GCC of various grades. Also in this section, export-import prices for these products in Russia and the CIS are analyzed, and a forecast of domestic Russian prices for the period up to 2030 is presented.

The seventh chapter examines the consumption of natural carbonate fillers in Russia and other CIS countries. The balance of production-consumption in Russia in 2012-2022 is given, the regional, specific and sectoral structure of consumption is estimated, as well as the market capacity of other CIS countries. The current state and prospects for the development of the main consuming industries in the Russian Federation are also considered.

The eighth and final chapter of the review presents a forecast for the production and consumption of the products under consideration in Russia for the period up to 2030.

The appendix contains contact information of the main producers of natural carbonate fillers in Russia.

Target audience of the study:

- market participants of natural carbonate fillers - manufacturers, consumers, traders;

- potential investors.

The proposed study purports to be a reference tool for marketing and management decision makers in the GCC natural carbonate filler market.
