This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment

This report is the first edition of a study on the Russian market for electrochemical electrical energy storage systems.

Market monitoring has been conducted since 2020.

The study focuses on land-based electrochemical electrical energy storage systems intended for autonomous use.

The objects of the study are Russian electrochemical electrical energy storage systems.

This work is a desk-based study. Information sources included data from statistical committees of EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, and the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan); international databases such as UNdata, the World Bank, and Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); data from the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (up to 2022), the Unified Information System in the Sphere of Procurement, railway transport statistics, the SBIS database, and specialized foreign companies; annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers; industry and regional press, conference materials, and websites of manufacturers and consumers of the products under study; scientific and technical literature (eLibrary, etc.); the FIPS patent database; the Infomine database; and others.

Study timeframe: 2020–2025, with a forecast for 2026–2030.

Geographic scope: Russian Federation (comprehensive, detailed market analysis) and the rest of the world (brief overview).

The report consists of 9 chapters and comprises 152 pages, including 46 tables, 5 figures, and 3 appendices.

The first chapter outlines the classification of electrical energy storage systems and summarizes the key requirements for them.

The second chapter presents an analysis of the main types of electrochemical electrical energy storage systems.

Chapter 3 provides a brief overview of the global market for electrochemical energy storage systems.

Chapter 4 summarizes information on Russian manufacturers of electrochemical energy storage systems and estimates production volumes in the Russian Federation for the period 2020–2025.

Chapter 5 analyzes key foreign trade operations involving electrochemical energy storage systems in Russia during 2020–2025.

Chapter 6 presents a price analysis of electrochemical energy storage systems for 2026.

Chapter 7 assesses the Russian market size, calculating apparent consumption of electrochemical energy storage systems from 2020 to 2025 based on domestic production, imports, and exports; it also characterizes the key economic sectors that consume these systems.

Chapter 8 presents a substantiated forecast for the consumption of electrochemical energy storage systems for the period 2026–2030.

Chapter 9, the report's conclusion, summarizes global and Russian patent data regarding electrochemical energy storage systems.

The appendices provide key information on foreign manufacturers of electrochemical energy storage systems, a registry of open procurement tenders for these systems in the Russian Federation, and contact details for major Russian manufacturers and consumers.

A distinctive feature of the report is its detailed description of Russian manufacturers of electrochemical energy storage systems—including an analysis of their financial standing—alongside a price analysis and a comprehensive registry of open procurement tenders for these systems covering the period 2020–2026. The study’s target audience includes:

- participants in the Russian market for electrochemical energy storage systems (manufacturers, consumers, and traders);

- agencies within the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Defense;

- potential investors;

- college and university students and postgraduates;

- deputy heads of district and municipal administrations responsible for energy-related matters.

This study is intended to serve as a reference resource for marketing departments and decision-makers operating in this market.
