This report is the sixth edition of the study of the bromine and bromine compounds market in Russia, the CIS and the world.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the bromine and bromine compounds market - global, Russian and CIS countries, as well as the processing chains of these products in the chemical industry.
The objects of the study are bromine-containing products: bromine; sodium and potassium bromides; ammonium bromides, lithium, etc.
This review is unique, since it is the only one on the market that examines the CIS countries in detail.
This work is a desk study. The following sources of information were used: data from statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan); international UN databases (UNdata), World Bank, Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (until 2022); Unified Information System in the Sphere of Procurement; railway transportation statistics; SBIS databases; foreign specialized companies; annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities; industry and regional press, conference materials, Internet sites of enterprises-producers and consumers of the studied products; scientific and technical literature (elibrary, etc.), FIPS patent database; InfoMine database, etc.
Chronological framework of the study: 1995-6 months of 2025; forecast - 2026-2030.
Geography of the study: Russian Federation, Ukraine - comprehensive detailed analysis of the market; the world - brief description.
The report consists of 10 parts, contains 197 pages, including 47 tables, 38 figures and 7 appendices.
The first chapter of the report is devoted to the world bromine market. The section provides data on bromine reserves in the world, the dynamics of bromine production in 2003-2024, the main producers of products, foreign trade operations and prices (2007-6 months of 2025), and world consumption of bromine.
The second chapter of the report provides an assessment of bromine reserves in the CIS. This section provides information on the number of bromine deposits, their geographical location, reserves, and the degree of development.
The third chapter of the report provides information on existing bromine production technologies, their features, and modernization.
The fourth chapter of the report is devoted to the analysis of bromine production in the CIS. This chapter provides the requirements of existing regulatory and technical documentation for the quality of bromine of various grades, data on production volumes in 1995-6 months of 2025, traces the dynamics of the production of this product, describes the main bromine producers and their current status.
The fifth chapter of the report is devoted to projects for the development of bromine production in the CIS.
The sixth chapter of the report analyzes foreign trade operations with bromine in Russia (1997-6 months of 2025) and the CIS (2003-6 months of 2025). It provides data on the volumes of export and import of the studied products, assesses the regional structure of supplies, and provides data on the volumes of bromine supplied by exporters and importers.
The seventh chapter of the report examines foreign trade operations with bromine-containing products in Russia, Ukraine, and other CIS countries in 2003-6 months of 2025 with an analysis of the volumes and directions of export-import supplies of these products.
The eighth chapter of the report provides information on the level of bromine prices on the domestic Russian market in 2003-6 months of 2025, and also analyzes data on changes in export-import prices for products over the past 20 years.
The ninth chapter of the report is devoted to bromine consumption in Russia and Ukraine in 2003-6 months of 2025. This section provides a production-consumption balance for the products under study, assesses the industry structure of consumption, and describes the main consumers and areas of bromine use.
The tenth and final chapter of the report is devoted to the forecast of bromine production and consumption in Russia for the period up to 2030.
The appendices contain addresses and contact information for the main producers and consumers of bromine and bromine-containing products. Detailed information on the main Russian importers of bromine and bromine-containing products is presented, including data on the brand composition, suppliers, volumes and prices. The appendices also contain companies importing Ukrainian bromine and detailed world exports of bromine by country.
The target audience of the study:
– participants in the market of bromine-containing products and their further consumption chains – manufacturers, consumers, traders;
– potential investors.
The proposed study claims to be a reference guide for marketing departments and decision-makers working in the bromine-containing products market.
