This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.

This report is the third edition of a study of the global propylene market and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries.

The objective of the study is to analyze the propylene market in Russia, the EAEU countries (which, in addition to Russia, include Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan), and the global market for this product.

The object of the study is propylene, an organic compound and an unsaturated hydrocarbon from the alkene class with the chemical formula C3H6.

This work is a desk study. The following sources of information were used: data from statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan); international databases of the UN (UNdata), World Bank, and Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); the Unified Information System in Procurement; rail transportation statistics; the SBIS database; foreign specialized companies; annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers; Industry and regional press, conference materials, websites of companies producing and consuming the products under study; scientific and technical literature (e.g., elibrary), the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS) patent database; the InfoMine database, etc.

Research timeframe: 2015 - 6 months to 2025; 2026 – assessment, forecast – 2027-2035.

Research geography: Russia – comprehensive, detailed market analysis; global and EAEU countries – general retrospective market analysis.

The report consists of 7 parts and contains 117 pages, including 42 figures, 28 tables, and 3 appendices.

The first chapter is devoted to the global propylene market. This section presents data on capacity, international trade in this product, sales prices, consumption, and development prospects for the global propylene market.

The second chapter presents information on the industrial technologies used to produce propylene, production capacity in Russia, and the main raw materials used for its production.

The third chapter analyzes propylene production in Russia and other EAEU countries. It presents product quality requirements, traces production dynamics, and provides data on production volumes from 2015 to the first six months of 2026. It also provides an estimate of production in 2026 by enterprise, and describes the leading producers of the product and their current status.

The fourth chapter analyzes foreign trade transactions with propylene in Russia and the EAEU countries from 2015 to 2025. It presents data on export and import volumes of the product under study, presents the geographic structure of supply, and analyzes information on individual propylene exporters and importers. Chapter 5 presents information on the price of propylene in the Russian domestic market and analyzes data on changes in export and import prices for the product from 2015 to 2025.

Chapter 6 is devoted to propylene consumption in Russia. This section presents the production and consumption balance of the product under study, presents its application structure in Russia, examines the main areas of propylene use, and describes the largest consumer companies.

The seventh and final chapter is devoted to the forecast for propylene production and consumption in Russia through 2035.

The appendices present the main characteristics of the Russian propylene market from 1999 to 2014, and provide contact information for Russian propylene producers and the largest consumers of this product, processing third-party products.

Target audience of the study:

– propylene market participants and feedstock for this product;

– potential investors.

The proposed study aims to serve as a reference guide for marketing departments and management decision-makers working in the chemical products market.
